Endurance Racing - Sportscar and GT

Radical SR9Rob has wide experience of endurance racing in both Sportscar and GT classes at the highest level.

In sportscars he has competed in the LMP1 class at events such as the Le Mans 24hr Race and the Sebring 12hrs - reglularly running in the leading group. In the Le Mans Series he achieved a podium finish in the LMP1 Dallara at Spa. He was also a debut driver for the Radical SR9 in LMP2.

Rob’s GT career started in Rollcentre’s formidable TVR Cerbera and subsequently included the TVR Tuscan R and a season at the helm of the awesome GT1 TVR Cerbera Speed 12. He has wide experience of other marques including Porsche 996 and 997 GT2 and GT3, Mosler MT900R, Ferrari 360 and 430, Saleen S7 and Ascari KZ1R among others. Results achieved include multiple race wins in British GT and podiums in the Daytona 24hrs, FIA GT and Suzuka 1000km. Early in 2009 Rob competed in the Dubai 24 Hours for the RJN/Nissan GT Academy Team and was team mate to 1995 British Grand prix winner Johnny Herbert.

Rob is regarded as a fast, reliable professional with a wealth of experience - now regularly called on by team managers and tyre manufacturers alike to strengthen driver line-ups at major events.

Historic Racing

Rob has been invited to drive both historic sportscars and saloons. A class win was achieved in the 2006 Le Mans Classic event at the wheel of a 1957 Porsche 550A Spyder, and he was set to repeat the result in 2008 until the car was forced into retirement due to a transmission problem.

Rob also enjoys competing in the Historic Touring Car Series in a 1966 Alfa Giulia Super and is hoping to expand his Historic Racing portfolio further in 2009.
