Rob has been again chosen by Silverstone and the GT Academy to be their Head of Driving for the 2010 edition of the Nissan/Playstation GT Academy. This year the GT Academy Team has been strengthened with the addition of former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan and respected German racer Sabine Schmitz alongside Rob and Johnny Herbert. The resulting programmes will be widely broadcast during 2010. The objective of GT Academy is to select a PlayStation gamer to compete in International GT4 Racing during 2010. Previews of GT Academy 2010 are available on YouTube: Day1 Day 2 Day3 Day4 Day5. The programme itself is scheduled to be broadcast by UK Channel 4.

Rob is an experienced motorsport commentator. His television work includes expert analysis and commentary for Channel 4’s “GT on Four” & “F3 on Four”, in addition to work for Motors TV in their coverage of the “GT Cup Series” and the “Lotus On Track Championship”

He is also employed, via Hayfisher, as a technical analysis commentator for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone bringing insight to the complexities not only of Formula 1 but also the support package including GP2 and the Porsche Supercup. Rob’s live broadcasting has included the Motors TV coverage of the Silverstone Classic meeting alongside commentary legends Toby Moody and John Hindhaugh.
